I hold a Master of Science in Industrial Sciences degree and worked the first 15 years of my career in business and marketing in international high-tech industries, both in France and Belgium.

In a partnership with Ladrôme Laboratoire, the French expert in aromatic and medicinal plants (Saillans, Drôme department), I’ve conducted 25+ interactive, practice-oriented and lectures and workshops to the end customers of the Belgian Ladrôme distributors. The workshops were planned and organized by the retailers, with the financial support of Ladrôme.

A warm thank you for the two interesting and fascinating Ladrôme aromatherapy workshops in Het Natuurhuis Merksem (our paradise). Our customers enjoyed it: both the knowledge and reconnecting like-minded people. We hope to organize more such workshops in the future.

In the early 2010s, I founded five seasons, a marketing agency that assisted companies in implementing a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy based on the ISO 26000 standard, sustainable development reporting by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and the AA1000 framework from AccountAbility (formerly the Institute of Social and Ethical Accountability, ISEA).

Aroma Talks

The Aroma Talks (DutchFrench) are concise and practice-oriented online talks of 1 hour, with live presentation and questions & answers, about scent experience, essential oils, aromatic plant extracts and applications of aromatherapy and phytotherapy.


In the Aroma Talk “Aroma and phytotherapy: a dream couple” of February 16. 2022, doctor Geert Verhelst and Geert De Vuyst will discuss how the choice of the right type of plant extract and the associated method of administration is essential in the correct and efficient use of aromatic plants, both in phytotherapy and in aromatherapy.


Feeling down or depression? In the Aroma Talk “Aroma and phytotherapy for depression” of May 2, 2022, doctor Geert Verhelst and Geert De Vuyst guide you in the choice of uplifting and healing plant extracts for times when you’re feeling down.

Since October 2021, I have been publishing in the journal OrthoFyto, the professional journal in the Netherlands and Belgium for doctors, therapists and (para)medical professionals working or interested in preventive health care and integrative medicine

Since 2023, I write a permanent column “ESSENCE” in which I discuss individual essential oils in the context of well-being.
